Special task force has been formed in the state against drug addiction: CM

The state government is working with a strict step to make Tripura drug-free. In this regard, the state government has adopted a zero tolerance policy.

Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha said this in response to a question from a journalist in a press conference organized at the Press Conference Hall of the Secretariat on 6 May, 2023. The Chief Minister said that for the past few decades, the youths of the state have been destroyed after coming under the clutches of drugs.

The state government has also called for a drug-free Tripura as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of drug-free India. The state government is not only proving it through words but also through work in creating a drug free Tripura.

A special task force has been formed in the state against drug addiction. The Chief Minister informed at the press conference that the state police administration is also doing commendable work in making Tripura drug-free.
