Specialist medical services have been launched on Monday at Mohanpur Community Health Centre.
Specialist doctors will be available three days per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Mohanpur Community Health Center has arranged a highly advanced laboratory after the formation of the current government, which could conduct 22 types of tests.
From 11 am to 2 pm, medicine specialist Dr Subrata Bhowmik on Mondays, Gynaecologist Dr Shanti Kumari Debbarma on Wednesdays and Paediatrician Dr Chayan Sarkar will see patients on Fridays.
In the presence of Education and Law minister Ratanlal Nath, citizens of Mohanpur sub-division, municipality village committee and village panchayats welcomed the new doctors on Monday.
While launching the advanced health services, Minister Ratanlal Nath said that the present government is giving more importance to health.
He further said that 596 Health and Wellness Centers has already been established in Tripura.
He added, “there are a total of 118 primary health centres in the state along with 1005 sub centres. All of them will be upgraded to health and wellness centres”.
