Sports Minister inaugurates 24th foundation day of Tripura Sports School; Says state Govt has taken up various schemes for the development of sports in the state

” The state government has taken up various schemes for the development of sports in the state. The government hopes that the players will highlight the name of the state and the country by achieving fame in sports.”

Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy said this while inaugurating the 24th Foundation Day of Tripura Sports School organized at the Dasarath Deb State Sports Complex premises at Badharghat on Tuesday.
In the event, 45 people were awarded for their achievements in various sports competitions and studies during the academic year 2022-23.

Inaugurating the event, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister said, “The government has given priority to the development of sports talent. To accomplish this, the government has taken initiatives to improve many field infrastructures in the state. Two new youth hostels will be constructed at Unakoti and Udaipur.”

The Sports Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and State Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha are sincere in the development of sports.

He added that sports not only keep the body and mind fresh, sports make the mind generous, economic and social development takes place.

Minister Roy further said that Tripura Sports School has been doing well in academics and sports for the last three years.
He expressed hope that the next year will give better results.
