Youth Affairs Minister Tinku Roy said this while inaugurating the state-based under-14 boys football competition of school sports at the Ramakrishna Mahavidyalaya stadium in Kailasahar on Monday.
In the event, the sports minister said, “Modern training has been arranged alongside the development of advanced sports infrastructure. Parents should come forward in this work of the state government. They should encourage their children to play sports.”
He said that Padashree Deepa Karmakar, Somdeb Debbarman, Arshiya Das have made the name of Tripura bright at national and international level.
After the inauguration ceremony, the Sports Minister unveiled the open gym plaque next to the stadium of Ramakrishna Mahavidyalaya.
