State and District-Level World Tuberculosis Day-2022 observed
The State and District-Level World Tuberculosis Day-2022 programme was held today at Community Hall of Durgachowmuni RD Block in Kamalpur under Dhalai district.
This year’s theme was ‘Invest to End TB, Save Lives. The programme was inaugurated by Sahakari Sabhadhipat of Dhalai Zila Parishad Anandi Sarkar and was presided over by Chairperson of Durgachowmuni Panchayat Samiti Sampa Das.
She emphasized upon timely diagnosis and treatment of Tuberculosis disease and on availing various health care facilities from nearby health centres and institutions Additional TB Officer, NTEP, Agartala Dr. Bansari Das as a Chief Guest briefed about “Nikshay Poshan Yojana’ and its objectives. District TB Officer, Dhadai district Dr. Dayusish Chakma spoke on identifying TB disease and its treatment.
Others present in the programme were BAC Chairman of Durgachownami RD Block Kumar Halam, Additional Dhalai District Magistrate & Collector Ajit Sukla Das, Kamalpur SDM Abhijit Chakraborty, Durgachowmuni RD Block BDO Amaresh Barman and Kamalpur SDMO Dr. Subhasish De.
Welcome address was delivered by Chief Medical Officer, Dhalni district Dr. Apollo Kalai. The dignitaries present handed over health kits to five TB patients who have recently recovered from the symptom.
