To fast-forward the improvement in the socio-economic indicators of the most under developed blocks of the state, the Government of Tripura launched Transformation of Aspirational Block Programme (TABP) on 24th September, 2019 which is presently under implementation in 12 most interior tribal blocks for the sole aim to improve the quality of life and infrastructure of the block areas which were identified as Aspirational Blocks among 58. blocks across the state strengthening each block, identifying attainable outcomes for immediate improvement while measuring and ranking the selected blocks.
It is a collective effort of selected departments and TTAADC, while Rural Development department is the Nodal Agency for driving the progress, achievement as per target and effective monitoring of the programme at State level.
Performances of the Aspirational Blocks were reviewed in the last meeting held on 24th June, 2021 under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Tripura at Secretariat on the basis of key. performance indicators in 9 primary sectors -Health, Education, Agriculture& Horticulture, Fishery, Animal Husbandry, Rural Development including Panchayat, Drinking Water, Sanitation and Rural Electrification, Social Welfare & Nutrition and Information Technology.
The Aspirational Block Programme was reviewed by the Chief Minister on 25th June, 2021 at secretariat with the Chief Secretary and other Secretaries of line departments.
On the basis of key performance indicators in Transformation of Aspirational Block Programme (TABP), the delta ranking Aspirational Blocks are in serial order according to their ranking – Rupaichari Block, Silachari Block, Karbook Block, Tulasikhar Block, Ompi Block, Dumburnagar Block, Damcherra Block, Raisyabari Block, Dasda Block, Mungiakami Block, Chawmanu Block and Ganganagar Block. SW & Nutrition department is leading with score 67.17 in Damcherra block, Health department is leading with 81.01 in Dasda block, SW & Nutrition department is leading with score 76.11 in Tulashikhar block, SW & Nutrition department is leading with score 76.77 in Mungiakami block, RD department is leading with score 72.06 in Dumburnagar block, Fisheries department is leading with score 78.37 in Raisyabari block, Health department is leading with score 73.76 in Ganganagar block, SW & Nutrition department is leading with score 66.48 in Chawmanu block, SW & Nutrition department is leading with score 79.19 in Karbook block, Health department is leading with score 80.07 in Silachari block, RD department is leading with score 72.48 in Ompi block, RD department is leading with score 80.28 in Rupaicharri block. SW & Nutrition department is leading with score 68.23 in overall department score.
