Just two days before the ‘Statehood Day’ of Tripura, 44th Kokborok Day has been celebrated with all excitement and enthusiasm.
The government this year has taken major plans and initiatives to celebrate this special day dedicated to the indigenous communities of the state.
On Wednesday, in presence of Chief Minister Bipab Kumar Deb and Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath the state government has celebrated the 44th Kokborok Day in the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan.
Sharing the stage with other dignitaries and invited guests, EM Ratan Nath in his speech has announced the urgent recruitment of PGT Kokborok language teacher in the schools of Tripura. It has to be done by the first or second week of this March month.
“Kokborok has earned national as well as international recognition. It has become so popular and demanding that our government is going to make it an official compulsory subject for school education and job profile,” added Mr. Nath in his speech.
