Swachhta (cleanliness) agenda has become a mass movement in the country today.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown the whole world how to build a movement with people and society through Swachhta Abhiyan.
Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma said this while talking to reporters after participating in a Swachhta Abhiyan (cleanliness campaign) at Bholagiri Ashram in Kunjaban on Friday.
It is to be noted that the cleanliness program has been taken from December 13 to December 17 to make Agartala city free of garbage in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Tripura.
In an exchange of views with the journalists, the Deputy Chief Minister said that due to the implementation of the Swachhta Abhiyan program, today the country’s villages and towns have become cleaner than before.
Swachhta activities are playing a unique role in making the country great and strong.
MLA Dilip Das, Agartala Municipal Corporation Corporator Suparna Debnath and others were also present in this program.
