The government is working with definite plans to build a self-reliant Tripura. Government has prioritized infrastructural development in far flung areas of the state and socio-economic development of people, enunciated Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ratan Chakraborty after inaugurating the newly built crop godown of 1000 MT capacity in Tulakona Gram Panchayat yesterday.
He said, farmers don’t have to protest to get the right price for their crops. The central and state government have taken multi-modal plans for farmers’ welfare. Timely crop seeds, fertilizer, agriculture machineries are being provided to the farmers. Farmers are getting 6 thousand rupees every year under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
He said, the crop godown constructed by Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare department has added to the welfare of farmers of the area. As a result, this will benefit local farmers He said, the government will bring forward further new schemes for farmers’ welfare in the coming days. After the new government took over in 2018, it has been working for development of the state taking various plans. The government aims at achieving overall development of the state and to make the state self-reliant.
Sabhadhipats of West Tripura Zilla Parishad Antara Sarkar Deb was present in the programme as special guest. The programme was presided over by Chairman of Old Agartala Panchayat Samiti Biswajit Shil. Welcome speech was delivered by Director of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare department Saradindu Das Deputy Director of the department Uttam Das was also present there.
It is to be noted that the Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly also inaugurated a newly built rural market shed in East Noagaon Gram Panchayat Other dignitaries present there were Sabhadhipati of West Tripura Zilla Parishad Antara Sarkar Deb, Chairman of Old Agartala Panchayat Samiti Biswajit Shil, Director of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare department Saradindu Das and Deputy Director of the department Uttam Das. Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ratan Chakraborty called on everyone to cooperate with the government in bringing about further progress of the state in the future.
