The government is delivering power services to every region of the state without increasing the tariff. The power infrastructure in the state is being improved in the state, enunciated Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma after inaugurating 5 newly built power schemes at Geet Bitan, Khayerpur yesterday.
Those 5 power schemes inaugurated are capacity enhancement and extension of 33 KV Khayerpur sub-station, 33 KV Kathalia sub-station and 33 KV Rani sub- station. Apart from that, newly built transmission line of 132 KV Rukhiu-Rabindranagar and 132 KV Udaipur-Bokafa has been inaugurated. Deputy Chief Minister said, about 40 thousand consumers will be benefitted as a result of these 5 new schemes.
He informed, power connections are provided through solar micro grid where it is not possible to provide power connection. Solar study lamps are being provided to boys and girls for studies. So far, 3 lakh solar study lamps have been distributed. Solar street lights are being provided through a state government scheme, Gramin Bazar Alo Prakalp in therural markets. Solar water filters have been installed in rural areas 49 new sub-stations have been set up after the present govemment took over. Total 60 sub-stations will set up in coming days.
The Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ratan Chakraborty as the Chief Guest in thenprogramme said, about 10 thousand consumers of Ranirbazar, Khayerpur and Old Agartala areas will be benefitted as a result of enhancing capacity of the sub-station in Khayerpur Welcome speech was delivered by Managing Director of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited Debashish Sarkar.
Vote of thanks was delivered by TSECL GM Transmission, Ranjan Debbarma. A documentary on 5 newly built schemes was shown in the inaugural programme. The guests later have visited 33 KV Khayerpur sub-station.
