The government is determined to create a drug-free Tripura: CM

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the ambulance service of Swami Vivekananda Club at North Badharghat in Agartala on Sunday.

While inaugurating the event, he said, “The government has taken initiatives to build a healthy environment in the state, which is not possible for the government alone. By joining social organizations or clubs and involving people in various social activities, the desired goal can be achieved.”

The Chief Minister has given this ambulance to the Swami Vivekananda Club from his constituency development fund for public welfare.

Chief Minister Dr. Saha said that club officials should take responsibility and maintain the endurance.

He asked the club authorities to take up this ambulance service for the convenience of the people of the area, rather than looking at this ambulance service from a commercial perspective.

Appreciating the presence of women members associated with the Swami Vivekananda Club and the musical performance they performed, the Chief Minister said that without the development of women, the development of the society, the state and the country is not possible.

The Chief Minister said, “The government is determined to create a drug-free Tripura. The government has taken various steps including formation of SIT in the campaign against drug addiction. Clubs and social organizations should also play an active role in this regard.”
He added that clubs and social organizations have the responsibility to build a healthy and prosperous society.
