The state government has given special importance to expansion of education and to build required education infrastructure, counciuted Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Pranajit Singha Roy after inaugurating Merit Award distribution programme for girls belonging from minority communities studying in classes 7 to 10 under Udaipur sub-division for the financial year 2020-21 at Udaipur Town Hall yesterday.
The Minister said, thegovernment has taken vanous steps for improvement in learning for girl students belonging from minority communities so that they can establish themselves future. He said, education can take the community forward. It also plays a huge role in making girls self dependent. Urging every parent to educate their girl child, the Minister said, now there are many scopes in education sector.
These have to be utilized and encourage girl child to pursue higher education Only then they will be able to become self-dependent MLA Biplab Kumar Ghosh, Chairperson of Udaipur Municipal Council Sital Chandra Majumdar. Welcome speech was given by Udaipur SDM Anuradha Ray. The programme was presided over by President of agriculture related standing committee of Mataban Panchayat Samiti Rafique Miya.
Others present in the programme were member of Udaipur Municipal Council Rejaul Hussain, socialist Tapas Das, socialist Hanm Choudhury The guests handed over merit awards to the students.
Merit awards were given to 264 girl students from 29 schools under Udaipur sah-division.
