An interaction programme with beneficiaries of PMKISAN, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin scheme was organized at Kunjaban High School of Kalyanpur block yesterday.

Those present in the programme were Labour Minister Bhagaban Chandra Das, former Chief Minister and MLA Biplab Kumar Deb, Chief Whip of Legislative Assembly Kalyani Roy, MLA Pinaki Das Choudhury, Sahakari Sabhadhipoti of Khowai Zilla Parishad Hari Shankar Pal, social worker Jiban Debnath, Teliamura SDM Mohammed Sajjad P. The programme was presided over by Sabhadhipati of Khowai Zilla Parishad Joydeb Debbarma

Labour Minister Bhagaban Chandra Das said, the present government is working with distinctive plans towards overall development of the state.

Welfare of construction workers in the state has also been prioritized. The positive results of different developmental works of the central and the state government is being delivered to people living in remote areas of the state.

Former Chief Minister and MLA Biplab Kumar Deb said, the present government has been working for the welfare of people of all communities of the state Starting from Antyodaya families to the people living in remote areas of the state are all getting the fruits of developmental works of the government He said, the previous Left Front government of 25 years did not work for welfare of the people After the present government took over, it has been working for the overall development of the state following the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Various central and state government plans are being implemented Free drinking water connection is being provided to every household under Jal Jeevan Mission and housing are being given under PMAY-G.

Plans worth 100 crore rupees have been taken for welfare of tea garden workers 33% seat has been reserved for women in government jobs. He hoped that the state and its people will become self-reliant in future.
