Deputy Chief Minister attended Panchayati Raj Day programme at Ramchara Gram Panchayat ini Charilam block on April 24, Deputy CM as Chief Guest of the programme said, the state government is making efforts to improve socio-economic condition of the people living in rural areas, which is why the state government wants that only original beneficiaries may get the government facilities.

All kinds of government benefits and facilities must reach the beneficiaries with transparency.

Main centres for rural development are the Panchayat offices. The Gram Panchayats must be strengthened in order to take the state and the nation forward. Besides the government officials, the local leaders must also sincerely work towards improving Gram Panchayats.
