Three illegal Rohingya migrants nabbed from near Agartala railway station

Three Rohingyas were caught by Amtali police on their way to Delhi from the state.

The three Rohingyas were on their way to the railway station from Siddhi Ashram in Agartala. Among them are a young man and two young women.

According to officials of Amtali police station, three persons were arrested by personnel of beat police and special branch after receiving information that they were roaming around Siddhi Ashram area on Tuesday.

It was learned that all the three were residents of Myanmar and crossed the borders to reach Agartala.

Police interrogation revealed that the two young women were being taken to Delhi from a refugee camp in Bangladesh. However, the police are also investigating whether the arrested youth is involved in the trafficking.
