A mammoth procession of TIPRA Motha marched from Teliamura Town Hall before the public meeting at Chakmaghat under Teliamura sub-division on Monday for three candidates of the party.
Addressing the rally, TIPRA Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarman said, “This time, the effect of tribal votes of BJP in Motha’s public meeting was clearly observed”.
He added that the Motha in the hills and alliance of Congress and CPIM in the plains are instilling fear in the minds of the leaders and activists of the ruling party.”
Pradyot Kishore protested against the Home minister Amit Shah’s allegation for terming TIPRA Motha as the B team of Congress and CPIM.
He claimed that Manikya kings did not bow down to the Mughals, the Britishers, not even to BJP Pradyot said, “If you love and come, you will get good behaviour in return or else, you will have to lose.”
He added that the fight is not to become an MLA, it is a fight for ‘Tiprasas’ (indigenous people of Tripura).
Addressing the public gathering, TIPRA Motha chief said those who have left the party and joined BJP do not like Tiprasa, they are greedy.
He added that in the name of nation, BJP does cheap politics. Royal scion alleged that BJP leaders have fulfilled none of the promises they made in 2018.
