Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and Tipra Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarma discussed diverse political and administrative matters in a meeting.
The meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s official residence on Thursday night.
Debbarma told reporters that the meeting was conducted in a friendly environment and covered several topics pertaining to politics and administration.
He added, “Let’s see what comes out of our discussion.” When questioned about whether he discussed Greater Tipraland and the use of the Roman script for Kokborok with the chief minister, he responded by saying, “Not everything can be disclosed to the media.”
However, Debbarma emphasized that he will continue to speak for the development of ‘dofa’ (community) as he has been chosen to represent their interests.
He further said, “I will refrain from making any statements until there is substantial progress in the discussions with the Centre regarding Greater Tipraland. It has been three months already.”
Besides, Debbarma mentioned that he raised the issue of the budget allocation for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) and the flow of funds to the autonomous tribal council during the meeting.
He said, “I also express positive sentiments. As the elections have concluded, it is time to initiate efforts towards the state’s development.”
