TIPRA Motha Chief meets Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma in New Delhi

TIPRA Motha Chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarma on January 19 held a closed door meeting with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in New Delhi.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is considered the BJP’s main troubleshooter in the Northeast Indian region.

They discussed the issue of Greater Tipraland.

Tipra Motha Chief Pradyot said he made his position clear that he will not move away from his demand for a separate state.

While speaking to Media, The TIPRA Chief then went on to compare the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) “movement” to have a temple built on disputed land in Ayodhya to the demand for a separate ‘Tipraland’ for the indigenous people of Tripura.

Tripura would go to assembly polls on February 16 next and the results would be announced on March 02.
