Tipra Motha Chief Maharaja Pradyot Kishore Debbarma in a rally announced that he will quit politics after the Tripura Assembly Elections that is scheduled to be held on February 16.
“Today is my last speech on a political stage and I will never seek votes as a Bubagra (King) after the Assembly elections. It pained me but I have fought a tough battle for you”, he said.
Tripura will go to poll for the 60-member Assembly on February 16 and counting will take place on March 2.
