Tipra Motha Chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarma announced a new organisation named TIPRA Citizens Federation on Sunday ahead of the assembly elections to be held on next year. Besides, he said that TIPRA Motha is not only a tribal-oriented political party, but also a platform for all Bengali, Muslims, Christians, and other religions.
In a press conference, Pradyot Kishore on Sunday said that his party respects all Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, Muslims and Bengali. He also said that people of all religions and communities will be given party tickets in the upcoming election, as TIPRA Motha will field candidates for at least 55 seats in the upcoming assembly polls.
Pradyot said that ‘TIPRA Citizens Federation’ will be a platform for positive-minded all peoples so that they can contribute to the advancement of progressive and inclusive politics in the region.
He added that people from all sections of the society, including OBCs, Minorities, SCs, General, Manipuris, Hindustanis and all others, are welcome to participate in the movement.
Pradyot further said, “We are all together in our quest for a better tomorrow, in our fight for our constitutional rights’.
