Trinamool MP Dola Sen’s convoy attacked in Tripura

Trinamool Congress MP Dola Sen alleged that her convoy was attacked in Tripura by BJP workers. The alleged attack injured her driver and left her car damaged. The TMC delegation also had Trinamool leader Aparupa Poddar.

MP Sen alleged that the entire attack took place in front of the police, who stood like “mute spectators”.

“Despite this, we were attacked at Belonia in front of the police station by BJP supporters with party flags,” she alleged.

Both the MPs returned to Calcutta in the evening after receiving treatment at GB Pant Hospital in Agartala.

Over the past couple of weeks, TMC had alleged that leaders including national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee had been repeatedly attacked in Tripura as the ruling BJP was worried about Trinamul’s growing popularity in the state.
