Tripura: 689 Divyangjan provided Aids and Assistive Devices; Pratima announces 4 new DDRC

Divyangjans have an equal role to play in building a strong nation as normal people like us. Without them, the development of the country cannot be complete.

The Prime Minister gave them a dignified name in the society called Divyangjan and said that Dibyangajans are an important part of the society.

Proper development of any society is not possible if they are neglected. Therefore, PM has announced various projects for their development and is also implementing them.
Union State Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik said this in the inaugural function of the Social Empowerment Camp for distribution of various mobility equipment among the Divyangjans organized by Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation and West District Social Welfare and Social Education Office at Agartala Town Hall on Friday.

She added that mobility equipment is being distributed among 689 Divyangjans of West District in the Social Empowerment Camp here.

Bhowmik said that the government is thinking how to make the living standards of Divyangjans easier and simpler as well as implementing them.

She added, “The government has also implemented various schemes for the development of Divyangjans as well as provided training for development of their talent. For their convenience, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also ordered provision of ramps and lifts in government offices in all states of the country, which is already implemented in all the states including our state”.
