Union Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Narayan Rane had officially inaugurated the newly constructed joint office building of Central Khadi and Village Industries Commission and Tripura Khadi & Village Industries Board at Dhaleswar, Agartala today, Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Chairman of KVIC Manoj Kumar, Secretary of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India B. B. Swain, CEO of KVIC Vinit Kumar, Secretary of Industry & Commerce department, Government of Tripura Abhishek Chandra, Director of the department Vishwasree B. and CEO of Tripura Khadi & Village Industries Board Rajesh Kumar Das were present in the programme.
While speaking to the media, Union Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Narayan Rane said, Tripura is a very beautiful and peace loving state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong role has led to significant development in Northeastern states as well as in Tripura.
At the beginning of the programme, Union Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Narayan Rane, Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma and other dignitaries visited different exhibition stalls of entrepreneurs benefitted under PMEGP scheme.
It is to be noted that Central Public Works Department, Government of India was responsible for the construction of the office building. The construction work started on July 22, 2020 and completed on December 27, 2022, the joint office building was built at the cost of 5 crore 85 lakh 61 thousand 719 rupees.
