Tripura records 81.10% turnout till 4 pm; Polling peaceful so far.
The voter turnout at close was over 81%. That number is likely to go up when the final figures come in. Votes will be counted on March 2.
There is a three-way battle in this election in Tripura between the BJP-IPFT, the CPI(M)-Congress alliance and the TIPRA Motha.
The BJP Tripura, is contesting in 55 seats. The CPI(M) is contesting in 47 seats, while its ally Congress has candidates in 13. TIPRA Motha, led by erstwhile royal family scion Pradyot Debbarma, has candidates in 42 seats. The Trinamool Congress has fielded candidates in 28 seats.
