The State of Tripura has been awarded the Bhumi Sanman Platinum Award for its achievements in 6 areas in the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme.
Besides, West Tripura, Khowai, Sepahijala, Unakoti, Dhalai, Gomati and South Tripura districts of the state were also awarded in this programme.
President Draupadi Murmu handed over the awards to the concerned persons in a function at the Plenary Hall of Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on Tuesday.
Trophies and certificates are awarded as prizes. The Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department Puneet Agarwal shared this news in a press conference at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
The Chief Secretary said that this program was organized by the Department of Land Resources of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India to award the Bhumi Samman Platinum Award.
This award was given to 9 states and 68 districts of the country.
