Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb decided to contribute from his salary for airfare of Delhi-Agartala flights for the students of Tripura who are returning from Ukraine.
He have also given instructions to Tripura Bhawan Delhi officials to co-ordinate with the students returning from Ukraine.
In his tweet Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb said “I am always indebted to the people of Tripura for their unconditional blessings and affection.
He added, “As a humble token of gratitude, I have decided to contribute from my salary for airfare of Delhi-Agartala flights for the students of Tripura who are returning from Ukraine”.
He also added Instructions have been given to Tripura Bhawan Delhi officials to co-ordinate with the students returning from Ukraine. GoI led by PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji is committed to reunite the Indian origin students with their families”.
On Thursday, the Chief Minister met with two girl students who returned from Ukraine from a Delhi flight to inquire about them and other students who are yet to arrive in the state.
Chief Minister Biplah Kumar Deb met them at the Secretariat today and welcomed them back to the state on their safe return.
Parents and guardians of both the students were also present during the meet. The Chief Minister got acquainted about their experience of the ongoing war situation in Ukraine.
While speaking to the media, the Chief Minister lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in safely bringing back Indian students stranded in different borders of Ukraine because of the war between Russia and Ukraine. He said, many Indian students are being rescued in short span of time with Prime Minister’s sincere efforts. I thank the Prime Minister for this. He also said, many students from Tripura are studying in Ukraine, Efforts are continued to rescue all of them back safe and sound.
