Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha was seen in a door-to-door campaign on Thursday urging people to vote for the BJP government in the upcoming assembly election.
He claimed that the government has achieved massive development in the state in the last five years and therefore the opponents do not have any proper issue.
While speaking to reporters regarding political clashes between Congress and BJP within hours of announcement of assembly election date, he said, “The incidents of Majlishpur was not intended. However, the opposition is trying to defame our party by creating problems.”
Notably, many people were injured in a clash between BJP and Congress supporters in Majlishpur, which took place just half an hour after the date announced by the Election Commission.
CM Saha said that even though the election is in February, BJP already started a door-to-door campaign in the last two days.He added, “We are getting a tremendous response from the voters. People have smiles on their faces and have faith in PM Modi for the overall development of the state along with the country”.
CM Saha also said that the clean image of the present government would significantly impact the election. Targeting the Congress-CPI(M) alliance, Chief Minister said that the people of the Tripura have observed wrestling between Congress and CPIM for a long time in Tripura, whereas they have maintained friendship in Delhi.
He added that people with good sense will not accept the alliance and opponents will get zero seats in this poll.
