Congress MLA and former Minister Sudip Roy Barman on Sunday released the election manifesto of Congress for February 16 assembly election.
The manifesto included 20 major promises.
Sudip Roy Barman said that among 20 promises, number one is law and order.
In this context, strict action and zero tolerance policy against crime against women along with declaration of war against drug kingpins.
He added that Congress will provide free medical treatment for poor, free education for all girls up to Post Graduate, Rs. 50000 for wedding of girls of BPL families as well as Lokayukt will be more powerful after amendment.
Roy Barman said, “In 2018 BJP had promised 299 promises and not a single one fulfilled. We don’t do politics with people’s sentiment. However, we are happy that the left front for the first time has made a change in their poll manifesto”.
He claimed that Congress has released the menifesto not for vote bank politics but to save the people of the state by overlooking the party’s interest.
