Tripura: Cross voting against NDA Presidential Candidate in the state

Tripura: Two Ruling Party’s MLA cross-voted in Yashwant Sinha’s favour

Two Tripura Ruling Party MLAs cross voted in favour of opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.

Cross voting also took place in Tripura in the presidential election.

The candidate of the opposition alliance got more votes of two MLAs (2 × 26).

59 MLAs cast their votes in the Presidential election.

At Present The BJP alliance’s strength in the state is 43.

15 MLAs are from Opposition CPIM and 1 from Congress.

41 MLAs voted in favour of NDA’s Presidential candidate and 18 MLAs voted in favour of Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.

Two Tripura Ruling Party MLAs cross voted in favour of opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.

The NDA’s presidential candidate, on Thursday scripted history by becoming India’s first tribal president in the one-sided contest, defeating Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.

As many as 17 MPs and 104 MLAs from the Opposition camp across India have cross-voted for Murmu.
