Tripura Govt Hikes Festival Grant by 300 rupees

It has been decided to increase the festival grant by Rs. 300 for group-C, group- D employees and others category employees of the state.

This increase will cost the state government a total of Rs. 36 crore. Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy announced this in a press conference at the press conference hall of the secretariat yesterday. The Finance Minister said that in the financial year 2022- 23, the festival grant of DRW employees and pensioners approved by the finance department including Group-C, Group-D employees was Rs. 1,500.

The festival grant has been increased by Rs. 300 taking the total amount to Rs. 1,800. Besides, Finance Department has sanctioned grant for part time workers, contractual workers, casual workers, Anganwadi workers, helpers, home guards and SPO jawans.

As a result of an increase of 300 rupees, this year they will get a festival grant of 2,000 rupees. Finance Secretary Apoorba Roy and Additional Secretary Akinchan Sarkar were also present in the press conference.
