Tripura Janajati Morcha holds Raj Bhavan Abhiyan against corruption in TTAADC

Bharatiya Janata Janajati Morcha (BJJM), the tribal wing of BJP organised a mass rally and deputation event in Agartala on Thursday against the alleged financial irregularities in TTAADC.

A huge crowd of tribal people were observed in the event, which is highly meaningful in the political dynamics of Tripura ahead of upcoming assembly elections.

Addressing the rally, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Jishnu Dev Varma rubbished the allegations of the TTAADC administration that the state government restricted fund flow to the autonomous body.

Deputy Chief Minister said, “The TTAADC claims that we are not giving money what they deserve. The total budget of the state stands at Rs 26,000 crore. Around 42-43% of the total budget are being used for building roads, schools and other infrastructure in the tribal belt.”

He added that the Rural Development department of Tripura is spending 65% of its budget for the tribal-dominated areas, where 31% of the total population lives.

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha claimed that BJP is the only political party that has worked for the Janajati people of the country.

He added that the tribal communities are very happy with the BJP’s development works.
Addressing the mass crowd of tribal people, BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee said that people have realised that neither Tipraland nor Greater Tipraland will solve their issues.
