Tripura Journalist Union delegation meets injured journalist

A delegation of Tripura Journalists Union led by secretary of Indian Journalist Union and Agartala Press Club Secretary Pranab Sarkar met Arjun Malakar, a scribe who was injured in a recent attack of local drugs mafias.

On April 16 last, Arjun Malakar, a journalist, received bloody wounds while collecting news of illegal and illegal trade of drug addicts.

The delegation also met OC of Kumarghat Partha Munda and demanded strict action against the culprits.

OC of Kumarghat Partha Munda told the delegation that a case has been registered in the police station under section 341/384/324/34 of the Indian Penal Code regarding the incident.

The main accused of the incident, was arrested by Assam police on Monday. He is currently in jail on the orders of the Hon’ble Court. He will remain in judicial custody till April 26.
