Tripura: Legislature party meet at CM’s residence held

Various activities started by BJP ahead of the 2023 assembly elections.

The central leadership of the BJP wants the BJP government to be established in Tripura and the work has been started accordingly.

Several reshuffles have been made recently at the organizational level of the party.
Rajib Bhattacharjee has been appointed as the new state BJP president.

Besides, Binod Sonkar has been relieved from the post of state BJP in-charge and Dr. Mahesh Sharma has been made in-charge of the state BJP.

Further, former Chief Minister of Tripura and MLA Biplab Kumar Deb have been nominated for the only seat of Tripura Rajyasabha MP.
He is also assigned the responsibility of Haryana in-charge.

After taking charge as the state in-charge, Dr Mahesh Sharma came to Tripura for the first time on Wednesday.

BJP state spokesperson Sambit Patra, former CM Biplab Kumar Deb and others came to the state along with Mahesh Sharma on this day.
BJP state President Rajib Bhattacharjee, BJP General Secretary Tinku Roy, MLA Krishnadhan Das and many others welcomed BJP state in-charge (prabhari) Doctor Mahesh Sharma at MBB Airport.

Flower petals were sprinkled and Dhak Dhol (drums) were played at MBB Airport to welcome the Pradesh BJP Prabhari.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha chaired an important meeting with the BJP and IPFT legislators on Wednesday evening to discuss the strategy for the bye-election.

The former Chief Minister and BJP nominee also attended the meeting.

Newly-appointed party’s Tripura prabhari Dr. Mahesh Sharma and North East co-ordinator Sambit Patra were also present in the meeting.
