Tripura Mahila Congress gives deputation to AMC Commissioner

The Tripura Pradesh Mahila Congress organised a demonstration to express their opposition to alleged internal divisions and discriminatory treatment of the workers at TUEP (Tripura Urban Employment Programme).

Subsequently, they convened a meeting and presented a memorandum to the AMC Commissioner, Dr. Shailesh Yadav, requesting an urgent resolution to address the hardships faced by the workers.

During the event, the Pradesh Mahila Congress President Sarbani Ghosh Chakraborty voiced her concerns over the government’s continuous biased and discriminatory treatment of TUEP workers.

She said, “A formal deputation has been submitted to the Commissioner of Corporations, urging the government to put an end to such factionalism and discriminatory behaviour, and to ensure equal job opportunities regardless of party affiliation.”

She added, “If such discriminatory practices persist, we are prepared to launch a large-scale movement in every ward in the upcoming days.”
