Tripura: Police arrested two for trafficking cannabis; recovered 292 Kg dry Ganja

In pursuance of Nesha Mukt Tripura drive, Khowai District Police achieved major achievement against drug traffic on Tuesday.

Based on specific information Sub-Divisional Police Officer. Teliamura, Officer-In-Charge of Mungiakami Police Station along with other officers & staff detain one Trolley Truck (18 wheeler) on NH-8 near Biswakarma Mandir.

During search of the truck recovered total 292 Kg dry Ganja and arrested two persons namely 1) Jammu Baig (36) S/O Rafiq Baig (driver) & 2) Mukesh Singh (21) S/O Kan Singh (assistant) both are of Rajasthan.

A case has been registered in this regard for further investigation.
