As a part of Nesha Mukt Tripura drive, North District Police made incredible achievement against drug trafficking on tuesday.

Based on secret information, on 15-11-2022 at about 1600 hrs. Sri Debasish Saha, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Dharmanagar, accompanied by Insp. Dhrubajyoti Debbarma, Officer-in-Charge, Churaibari Police Station and other officers and staff detained one vehicle bearing Registration No. WB59-B- 3256(Truck) in front of Churaibari PS’ Naka point on NH-8.

During thorough search of the vehicle police recovered 560 Kgs of dry-ganja. Accordingly. Police seized the same with the said vehicle and arrested driver of the vehicle namely Fulsad Seikh (36), S/O Jakir Seikh of Nabayram, Murshidabad, West Bengal and co-driver namely Sirajul Seikh (26), S/O Rezan Seikh of Nabagram, Murshidabad, West Bengal.

In this connection a specific case under NDPS Act, 1985 is being registered at Churaibari Police Station for further course of legal action.
