Tripura Police’s another big success in anti-weed drive action
Another big success of Tripura Police in anti-weed drive chase. A weed smuggler has been caught red handed on the spot while driving a car loaded with weeds.
The incident took place at the naka point near Bankumari under the Kathaltali PS. Like the regular days, the police was busy in checking and verifying car documents at the ground zero.
A suspicious car loaded with 48kg weed entered the zone while approaching to Kalamchoura.
After confronting the police, that said car suddenly changed its track on the mid-way towards Sonamura.
The on duty policemen rushed in doubt and chased the car until its wheel halt. The car finally lost its control and fall from the track in a nearby paddy field. The police then recovered the car and seized the weed packets over the spot after arresting a convicted.
The police later clarified the whole incident to the media “The weed loaded car was supposed to be transported to Rajnagar via Kalamchoura; mainly for smuggling by crossing the border. Well, we finally succeeded in this mission and we will continue such drives in future too. One of the suspected has been arrested and our team will soon find out the other absconded guy. And Yes, it’s undoubtedly a very big achievement of Tripura Police”, said the Jatrapur PS Officer-in-charge to media.
He further added, “The entire Sepahijala District is now under complete police surveillance. Regular car checking and documents verification processes are also going in full swing at every naka point in the District. Focusing the Municipal Poll, with the leads and cooperation from locals we are also carrying out regular anti-narcotics drive at various ward and societies for ensuring the social safety and law and order situation.
