After a long time Tripura government has decided to reopen schools for classes 1 to 5.
The physical classes of elementary education from Class 1st to 5th have resumed from Monday.
However, for attending the classes a written permission letter of the guardian is required.
In view of the reduction in the COVID Test Positivity Rates in Tripura and considering the learning losses that has already occurred Tripura schools will reopen from Sept 13 with COVID-19 protocols.
The government has already resumed school for classes 6 to 12.
Headmasters/Headmistresses should maintain compliance to all existing COVID protocols like compulsory masking, social distancing and hygiene practices.
Earlier, the State Education Department allowed reopening of schools for Classes 6th to 12th with effect from25th of August across the state.
Mask wearing has also been made compulsory for Class 1st to 5th students. Head teachers have been instructed to arrange sanitizer, thermal scanning and hand wash in the school.
After long closure of Schools due to surge in Covid 19 pandemic situation, now the Schools are reopened for Students of Class I to V. OSD from State office Abhijit Samajpati visited the Schools of Gomati District and Shipahijala District to access the Students and have an overview of the preparedness/ condition of Schools.
