Tripura: Security arrangements beefed up for By-election

In connection with Bye-Election to 4 (four) Assembly Constituencies, namely 6-Agartala, 8-Town Bordowali, 46-Surma (SC) and 57-Jubarajnagar, the various. political programmes were organized by different political parties in all four Assembly. Constituency areas. In 57-Jubarajnagar Assembly Constituency, total 20 political programmes were organized, in 46-Surma (SC) Assembly Constituency, total 8 political programmes were organized and in 6-Agartala & 8-Town Bordowali Assembly Constituency, total 4 political programmes were organized.

Except a minor incident in 57-Jubarajnagar Assembly Constituency, no other. incident took place during the day.

It is pertinent to mention here that Flying Squads and Static Surveillance Teams have been deployed in all the Constituencies. Area domination with special emphasis on vulnerable hamlets is being conducted by already inducted 20 Coys of CAPF and 5 Coys of Tripura SAP (TSR) besides local Police and additional force of TSR for smooth conduct of election process and also to instil a sense of security among the voters of respective Assembly Constituencies.

All concerned are requested accordingly to assist Tripura Police in discharging their duties and made the election process incidence free.
