Tripura shuts government schools till April 23 amid heatwave

The state government has decided to keep all government and government-aided educational institutions closed from April 18, 2023 to April 23, 2023 due to rising temperature in the state and keeping in mind about the health of the students.

Besides, authorities of all private schools have been urged to keep their educational institutions closed till the above mentioned time period. This was informed in a press release issued on behalf of the state government.

This decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the well-being and safety of students.

The summer heat in some areas of the state can be extremely harsh and can cause heat-related illnesses such as dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.

The government is also taking other measures to deal with the heat wave, such as providing adequate water supply and electricity to the residents, especially in the rural areas.

The public has also been advised to take precautions while venturing out in the sun and to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and consuming fruits and vegetables with high water content.

Excessive heat flow could impact student health across the state. Considering this, the state government has decided to close all government and government aided schools in the state from April 18, 2023 to April 23, 2023.

Along with all the private schools authorities in the state have also been requested to close the schools during this period.
