Tripura: Wages of Anganwadi employees. Asha workers, pump operators, mid-day-meal workers increased

The state government has decided to increase the wages of Asha workers under the Department of Health and Family Welfare by 1000 rupees.

Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced this decision of the cabinet meeting at a press conference at the Secretariat on Tuesday.

He said that a total of 7 thousand 767 Asha workers of the state will benefit from this.
The ICA Minister highlighted some other decisions in the cabinet meeting.

He said that the wages of cook cum helpers attached to the mid-day meal of the entire state has been increased from 1500 rupees to 2500 rupees.

Chowdhury added that the cabinet has taken the decision to increase the wages of pump operators appointed under the drinking water and sanitation department by 2300 rupees and the salary allowance of pump operators appointed under the village development and panchayat department by 2490 rupees.
He further added, “The monthly pension of home guards under the Ministry of Home Affairs has increased from 750 rupees to 2500 rupees. Besides, it has been decided to increase the salary of working home guards by 1,000 rupees. As a result, their current salary will be 19,140 rupees”.

The ICA Minister also said, “It has been decided to establish Aryabhatta International University in North Tripura district. Tripura Judicial Academy has created 34 new posts for recruitment to various posts”.

He added that 16 election inspectors will be recruited under the Election Department and 25 more schools will be included in the state under the Vidyajyoti project.

The ICA Minister further said, “32 teaching and non-teaching posts have been created in MBB University. The daily boarding stipend for students studying in Board-A under Tribal Welfare Department and Scheduled Castes Welfare Department has been increased from Rs. 65 to Rs. 80”.
