Two arrested with Brown Sugar by Battala and West Agartala PS Police from Battala

Police personnel of West Agartala Police Station along with Battala Outpost police recovered narcotic items as well as detained two drug peddlers based on secret information.

The arrested persons are identified as Sukanta Barman and Bikas Biswas. While highlighting details to media on Thursday, SDPO Ajay Kumar Das said that the accused individuals will be produced before the court this day to seek police remand for further interrogation”.
SDPO Das added, “42 vials of narcotic items, 5.5 grams of heroin and cash 33,000 rupees have been seized from the peddlers arrested from Battala market”.

Das claimed that police are acting actively to nab the accused persons associated with drug trafficking in Agartala city.

He added that there will be zero tolerance against drug abuse.
