Police are not very successful in solving the reckless robbery and theft cases of Agartala.
Citizens of Agartala are perturbed due to the failure of police, as they failed to capture thieves and dacoits.
Meanwhile, some police officials are desperate to resolve this issue and close the cases.
Notably, P Jagadeesh Reddy, the Former Police Super of West Tripura District removed from his post due to increased robbery and other various critical issues.
Besides, two OCs of West Agartala and East Agartala Police Station, Rajib Debnath and Subrata Chakraborty respectively were also transferred.
It was hoped that law and order situation of Agartala might be improved and robbery cases could be resolved.
It was also anticipated that the masterminds behind the 25 cases of reckless theft and robbery might have been caught.
However, Sadar Police administration is still in previous place although time has passed.
A week ago, around 35 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants were detained due to dedicated combined efforts of Battala Police CheckPost and West Tripura Police Station and these associated cases were handed over to the Crime Branch.
Although the overall results of these cases are also nil.
Sadar SDPO, Ajay Kumar Das presented another two illegal Bangladeshis in a press conference on Thursday to hide the failures of police.
SDPO himself said it as a breaking news.
Meanwhile, in the press conference, no strong evidence regarding the robbery and theft cases in Agartala were discussed or presented.
