Two more Trinamool Congress activists have been arrested in connection with the recent political clashes in Tripura.
The suspects are Nirmal Sharma and Liton Chakraborty.
Police of Ambasa police station arrested them on Monday.
A total of nine Trinamool Congress workers have so far been arrested for their alleged involvement in the political clashes in Ambasa.
Earlier Five Trinamool workers were arrested in Tripura. Ambasa police arrested them.
A local court of Dhalai district on Tuesday sent five Trinamool Congress workers to seven days jail in connection with a case filed accusing them of stone pelting and causing public nuisance at Ambassa on Saturday.
The five arrested are Trinomool workers, Tamal Basu, Uttam Kalai, Miton Biswas, Pankaj Debnath, Nitu Malakar.
