Unakoti District-Level Book Fair to commence from February 28

Unakoti District-Level Book Fair will start from February 28, 2020 till March 4, 2020 at Kumarghat PWD ground.

In this regard, a preparatory meeting was organised yesterday at Panchayati Raj Training Institute in Kumarghat to conduct the district level book fair successfully.

The meeting was presided over by Sahakari Sabhadhipati of Unakoti Zila Parishad Shyamal Das Others present in the meeting were Sabhadhipati of the Zila Parishad Amalendu Das, Chairperson of Kumarghat Municipal Council Biswajit Das, Chairman of Gouranagar Panchayat Samiti Naran Singh, ADM Satyabrata Nath, Kamarghat SDM Subrata Bhatacharjee and other district level and sun-division level officials.

It was decided that total 40 stalls will be opened. Publishers from West Bengal as well as Bangladesh will be participating in the book fair.

The timing for the book fair is 2pm to 8pm followed by cultural programme in the evening. Sabhadhipati of Unakoti Zila Parishad was elected as convenor and formed a preparatory committee and few sun-committees.
