The central and state governments want to develop concrete housing, electricity connection, drinking water connection, education, health, communication system for all.
The state government is also implementing various programs to improve the financial and social conditions of the people of the state.
Officials of various departments have to work more earnestly to make the benefits of various developmental programs and services of the state and central government available to all.
Pratima Bhowmik, State Minister of the Central Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, said this in a special meeting of the District-wise Disha Committee held on December 24 at the conference hall of Sepahijala District Magistrate’s office.
MLA Subhash Chandra Das, District Magistrate Ravel Hemendra Kumar, Additional District Magistrate Arun Kumar Roy, various Panchayat Samiti and Chairman of BAC were present in this meeting chaired by the Union State Minister.
The representative of the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation said, “drinking water has already been delivered to 51 thousand 488 families through pipe lines under Jal Jeevan Mission. The work is going on to deliver drinking water to the rest of the families. 36 deep tubewells have been installed and 237 km pipelines have been extended in the district.”
In the meeting, the representative of the Department of Works said that 209 roads have been constructed in PMGSY one and two projects in the district. Its length is 628.454 km. 4 bridges have been constructed.
