India will start vaccinating children aged 12 to 14 years from March 16, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced on Monday.
The condition of co-morbidity for people aged 60 and above to get a precautionary dose will also be removed. Everyone in that age category can now take booster shots.
Everyone aged 60+ will also be eligible for a precaution dose.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his tweet said “Under the guidance of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, From March 16, Govt of India will start administering COVID vaccine to children aged 12 to 14”.
