India added more coronavirus cases in a day than any country has since the pandemic began even as Asia’s third-largest economy accelerated its vaccination drive to fight the world’s fastest-growing renewed wave of infections.
India reports 3,14,835 new COVID19 cases, 2,104 deaths and 1,78,841 discharges in the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry
No country has recorded more cases in a single day. There were 2,104 deaths reported on the same day, another record for India. With 3,14,835 new cases, the total infections stand at 1,59,30,965. The toll, meanwhile, stands at 1,84,657.
In view of serious Covid Situation Night curfew will be imposed between 10 PM to 5 AM in Agartala Municipal Corporation area from 22nd April 2021.
Restrictions on gatherings:
Medical and other emergency needs and persons to maintan essential services
like health, police, security, power supply, drinking water supply etc may be exempted.
In closed spaces, a maximum of 50% of the seating/hall capacity should
allowed for any social, cultural, entertainment or political gathering with a ceiling of 100 persons. In open spaces, higher numbers may be allowed
based on the size of the ground
/ space with a ceiling of 200 persons.
