Yechuri, Karat arrive to attend state committee meeting today in Agartala

On Monday, CPIM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury and Polit Bureau member Prakash Karat reached Agartala to attend the Tripura State Committee Meeting of CPIM, where decision regarding CPIM and Congress alliance against BJP is to be taken for 2023 assembly elections as per source.

Tripura AICC leader Ajoy Kumar and CPIM general secretary Sitaram Yechury already held a meeting in Delhi regarding the cooperation in the elections according to source.

They also said that they will decide the seat distribution soon through a joint discussion.
The final announcement about the alliance will be made after the CPIM’s Tripura state committee meeting on Monday and Tuesday in Agartala.

Leaders from both the parties will be included to form the committee and they will take a decision on which seats Congress and CPIM should contest.
