DAMCHHARA: Reaffirming their commitment to making the state drug-free, Tripura Police conducted a massive drive at Damchhara Police Station premises, destroying approximately 10,000 liters of seized illegal local and foreign liquor using bulldozers and rollers in accordance with legal procedures.
Panisagar SDPO Kisholay Shishudia stated that the destroyed contraband was confiscated during various anti-liquor operations conducted over the past year and the current year. The operation was executed in the presence of Damchhara Police Station OC Sanjay Majumdar, CTSI officers, and senior officials from the State Excise Department.
Highlighting the drive, SDPO emphasized that the action forms a crucial component of the police force’s mission to build a ‘drug-free society’ and a ‘drug-free India.’ He reiterated that strict enforcement operations would continue unabated to completely eradicate the illicit production, transportation, and distribution of alcohol in the region.
